Tarrazu is a canton (county) in the province (state) of San José. It is composed of small farmers in a tumultuous landscape of lush green peaks, some rising over 10,000 feet. The long dry season, from December to April, coincides perfectly with the coffee harvest, leading to very even, full ripening.
Our French roast of Tarrazu is the darkest offering, perfect for immersion brewing or an otherwise classically bold drip coffee. It is rich with notes of dark caramel, cola, and walnut.
