FARM INFORMATION
Finca La Chorrera is a 3.5-hectare farm in Huila, managed by third-generation producer Víctor Alfonso Bonilla. At 6,200 ft, the entire farm is dedicated to 5,500 rare Bourbon Aruzi trees. Bourbon Aruzi is a unique Colombian variety, first discovered as an unusual mutation in Cauca, now being grown in Huila. Its genetics trace back to Ethiopian Landrace, connecting this distinctive variety to the ancient diversity of Arabica. At high elevation in Huila, careful cultivation allows its unique genetic character to shine.
For this lot, cherries were selectively harvested, depulped, and fermented in sealed barrels for 36–40 hours before Eco-Mill washing and slow drying. The cup is radiant and floral, with ripe grape, red cherry, and peach blossom.
