La Florida, Guatemala
La Florida is owned by Rodolfo Benavente, who has worked in the coffee world all his life. His 52-acre farm is located on a narrow, flat ledge halfway down a steep canyon. Many of the farm’s coffee trees are over 80 years old and carry much history. Far below flows the Madre Vieja River, winding south to the Pacific Ocean. This lot is comprised of Caturra, Bourbon, Typica, and Catuai varieties. The final result is notes of chocolate, apricot, and a hint of vanilla.
