Nkonge Hill, Burundi
Small farmers in the area of Nkonge Hill, adjoining the dense forests of Kibira National Park, deliver ripe cherries to the Heza washing station, built by them and Long Miles Coffee. The Bourbon variety grown here may be an ancestor of Kenya’s great SL28. The mouthfeel is smooth with dark chocolate and grape, finished with a hint of blackberry.
