Yosotatu, Mexico
Yosotatu is located just outside of Oaxaca City. A small group of 20–30 farmers, mostly women, led by Madelina Lopez, organized to improve the quality of their coffee in exchange for higher premiums. They produce small, high quality lots of the traditional Oaxacan Typica variety, mixed with a little Bourbon.
With flavors of pineapple and sweet macadamia, Yosotatu reserva distinguishes itself as a truly exquisite coffee. Red Fox suppliers deems it one of the best coffees coming out of Mexico, and we agree.
On our recent visit to Yosotatu, we met with the team behind the coffee. They showed us around the farm, we chatted with their farmers, we even saw how they hand pulp their cherries. There is no doubt they are dedicated to producing one of the best coffees in Mexico. To learn more about our visit, read on.
